Belair is one of the most athletic Superstars on the WWE roster today. Before becoming a superstar, the 33-year-old excelled in athletics in school and college. She also practiced CrossFit. Despite this, WWE’s EST struggled with some health issues growing up.
In a recent interview with On The Grind, the RAW Women’s Champion opened up about her health struggles.
“I used to have a very unhealthy relationship with food. When I was in high school, I ran at the track. I was very muscular. People told me that running faster would help me if I lost weight. So I took it easy, taking it to a whole other level. I ended up struggling with bulimia. Athletic scholarship and going to college, and I got hurt, and I was like, ‘Okay, I don’t want to do this anymore. I want to try to stop bulimia,” she said. [3:02 – 3:31]
While trying to end her battle with bulimia, Belair developed binge eating disorder.
“I ended up developing BED, a binge eating disorder where I was just binge eating. You know, fast forward, I got into CrossFit and for the first time I saw these women with these big beautiful muscles. They did amazing things with their bodies. And I was finally in that environment where, as my body was naturally made, it was for a good cause,” she added. [3:31 – 3:54]
