Two injured, one in custody after an accident involving three vehicles near WIS 175 on Vlietstraat

                                        A SATURDAY AFTERNOON.  OFFICIALS BEGAN TO DIRECT TRAFFIC ON THIS STRETCH OF THE HIGHWAY FOR A CLOSURE THAT LASTED MORE THAN 3 HOURS WHILE INVESTIGATORS WORKED THE SCENE, A BUSY 4 HOURS, INVESTIGATORS COLLECTED MEASUREMENTS AND DEPARTMENTS CLEARED.  THE NAME OF A THREE CAR ACCIDENTAL WITH A WHITE SUV, A WHITE HATCHBACK AND A DARK PICK-UP.  AN ACCIDENT, SURE.  I HAVE A FEW MPD UNITS BLOCKING TRAFFIC.  AND YOU NEVER ANSWER.  THE MILWAUKEE COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS IT STARTED AS A COLLISION BETWEEN AN SUV AND A CAR THEN A THIRD VEHICLE.  ALSO GUESS THE CAR BEFORE HITTING THE MIDDLE WALL.  THE DRIVER OF THAT FIRST VEHICLE, A 53 YEAR OLD WOMAN, NOW UNDER SECURITY.  ANOTHER THREE VEHICLE, TWO IN TRAFFIC.  WE CAPTURED TWO BLACK MEN IN ONE VEHICLE.  AND OUR EXTRA VEHICLE IN AN EXTRA VEHICLE AT THAT LOCATION.  ALL THREE VEHICLES WERE SEVERELY DAMAGED FROM ONE CASE OF MALE BREATHING, A 24-YEAR-OLD MAN AND A 40-YEAR OLD MAN TRANSPORTED TO HOSPITAL, BOTH WITH BROKEN RIBS, HEAD, NECK AND BACK PAIN.  THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS THAT THE DRIVER OF THE FIRST VEHICLE, UNARMED, HAS BEEN ARRESTED ON DECISION OF ASSIGNMENT AFTER SUSPENSION AND THREE COUNTS OF CAUSING MAJOR BODILY INJURY.  REPORT

                Two people were injured and a third is stuck after an accident involving three vehicles on WIS 175 at Vlietstraat.  All northbound lanes were closed shortly after 1 p.m.  The closure lasted several hours and reopened around 5 p.m.  That man then swerved toward the center wall and was struck by a third vehicle before also crashing head-on into the wall.  The 40-year-old man was transported with multiple broken ribs, neck, back, headache, and is listed in "critically stable condition."  The sheriff's office said the driver of the third vehicle, a 24-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital with at least one broken rib, neck, back and headache.  According to the sheriff's office, the 53-year-old woman was not injured and was taken into custody.  She is charged with operating after suspension and three counts of major bodily harm.

Shortly after 1 p.m., all northbound lanes were closed. The closure lasted several hours and reopened around 5 p.m

According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, a 53-year-old woman driving a car hit a 40-year-old man driving an SUV. That man then swerved toward the center wall and was struck by a third vehicle before also crashing head-on into the wall.

The 40-year-old man was transported with multiple broken ribs, neck, back and headaches and is in a “critically stable condition”.

The sheriff's office said the driver of the third vehicle, a 24-year-old man, was transported to an area hospital with at least one broken rib, neck, back and headache.   

According to the sheriff’s office, the 53-year-old woman was not injured and was taken into custody. She is charged with operating after suspension and three counts of major bodily harm.
