Sharon Stone is a force to be reckoned with. The 65-year-old actress always looks flawless whether she’s posing topless or showing off her abs in a thong bikini on Instagram. And just like the style icon she is, Stone likes to show her fans her favorite beauty tips, tricks and products from time to time. Recently, the actress revealed her go-to shampoo and conditioner: The Shampoo and The Conditioner by Augustinus Bader.
While everything changed for Stone when she suffered a stroke in 2001, she remains open about how she overcame the challenge. In a recent interview with Byrdie, Stone discussed everything from the life-changing event to her super-simple beauty and skincare routine. “I’ve always been very, very clear,” she said of her routine. “I’ve always felt that the KISS principle (keep it simple, stupid) is essentially real. I believe in that above all.”
Given Stone’s philosophy that less is more, we know what she is do use must be worth it. Luckily, she shared her favorite shampoo and conditioner combo that she says helped with the hair loss after her stroke.
“I started using this Augustine Bader shampoo and conditioner and after-shampoo leave-in conditioner…all the hair I lost under here, on the sides of the stroke, grew back,” she said in the interview. “And I got her!” (Note: While the side effects of stroke are enormous, there is currently no evidence to suggest hair loss is one of them.)
Both The Shampoo and The Conditioner claim to reduce hair loss and “support natural hair growth” while keeping hair hydrated. The brand states that both products are suitable for all hair types and textures.
More shoppers also like the products. The shampoo “returned my hair to its normal structure!” wrote a five-star reviewer at Sephora. “My hair was brittle and damaged, but now it’s healthier and thicker!” Another five-star reviewer at Sephora wrote that The Conditioner “stops shedding completely,” adding, “I’ve never seen such a visible difference from a conditioner.”
Stone has always been open about her ideas about beauty. While she loves keeping things simple in her routine, she also seems to enjoy being right where she is right now. “The idea that youth is the only thing beautiful or attractive is simply not true. I don’t want to be an “ageless beauty,” Stone previously said. “I want to be a woman who is the best I can be at my age.”
