The event will be split into two stages, catering to everyone planning Aliyah in the next two years and those just starting to consider their Aliyah options. MedEx’s main trail will allow medical professionals to begin the Israeli medical licensing process by opening files with Israeli Ministry of Health licensing representatives, who will be on site to review their individual cases. In addition, participating doctors will be able to meet with members of the Medical Association of Israel for the recognition of their specialties. There will also be an Israeli notary present to authenticate your documents, as well as job/network interviews at various Israeli hospitals and medical facilities that will be recruiting at MedEx.
The second track entitled “Taste of Medex” is aimed at medical students and professionals, student nurses and physical therapists who are long term planners, looking to learn about transferring their medical licenses, discover allied medical and health careers in Israel and networking with potential employers and professionals in Israel to better understand your various options. There will be a series of sessions and workshops offered on a variety of topics relevant to current and future medical professionals in Israel, including nurses and physicians, and a special presentation by the Deputy Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Health on the emergency medical care that Israel provides in response to natural disasters.
In cooperation with the Israel Ministry of Aliyah and Integration, the Jewish Agency for Israel, Keren Kayemeth LeIsrael (KKL) and the US-Jewish National Fund, together with the Israeli Ministry of Health and the Israel Medical Association, Nefesh B’ Nefesh launched the MedEx booth – one-on-one event to allow medical professionals to take important steps to transfer their medical licenses in North America prior to making Aliyah – all in person and in a dedicated location.
