Kate, Princess of Wales: Achieve royal ‘glossy and thick’ hair with ‘key tip’

Rhysa Phommachanh of skincare and beauty experts Landys Chemist spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the easy ways to maintain thick, shiny hair at home. According to Rhysa, healthy hair is the “key” to getting locks like Kate’s.

“Kate Middleton’s hair is often envied for its shiny, long and thick look,” Rhysa noted.

The first step to achieving this is to “keep your hair healthy.” The expert continued: “Healthy hair is key to achieving Kate Middleton’s hair.

“Be sure to trim split ends regularly, use a hair mask once a week, and avoid using excessive heat styling tools.”

Using a high-quality shampoo and conditioner can also help — and it’s best to find one that suits your hair type, Rhysa said.

It should also contain “nourishing ingredients such as argan oil, coconut oil or keratin that are essential for achieving thickness and maintaining healthy ends.”

It’s not a crime to occasionally use heat styling tools on your hair, but Rhysa stressed that it’s important to “always use heat protectant sprays and moisturizing oils.”

“Argan oil can also be used when using heat styling tools to prevent heat damage,” she added.

To get Kate’s haircut, which is often wavy or straight, the easiest way is to blow-dry it.

“Apply the elk at the root for that extra lift. Turn your head upside down and blow-dry your hair to add even more volume.”

It is also worth adding a finishing product to the hair to “achieve Kate’s shiny hair”.

“Finish your style with a shine spray or run a serum through the lengths of your hair to add hydration and create a silky smooth glossy look,” said Rhysa.

It may also be a good idea to consider hair extensions. The expert continued: “If you have thin or short hair, hair extensions can help you achieve Kate Middleton’s thick, luscious locks. Consult a professional stylist to find the right type of extensions for you.

Brooke Evans, owner of a hair salon of the same name in Ironbridge, Shropshire, agreed with Rhysa that hair extensions could help create the “Kate Middleton effect”.

She told Express.co.uk: “Hair extensions are a great option, not only for length but also for thickness.

“I use and recommend ethically sourced and multi-award winning Racoon hair extensions. Hair wefts can easily be added to the hair with tape to get fuller, thicker and longer hair.”

Brooke added that diet is also important when it comes to getting thick and healthy hair, saying: “We know that a diet rich in protein is the source of healthy hair and a healthy scalp, and this is the starting point.

“Kate will be using several pro products from the salon on her hair, including a three-step hair routine of shampoo formulated for shine and moisture, a conditioner to detangle and align the cuticle scales, and a weekly deep hydrating treatment mask to making sure the conditioning goes beyond just the hair. outer layer of the hair the cuticle,” the expert added.
