Jennifer Yepez is quitting her skin care routine

Jennifer Yepez is responsible for some of the most famous hairstyles in Hollywood, she has styled Zendaya, Hailey Bieber, Emily Ratajkowski, Salma Hayek, Bella and Gigi Hadid and more. But while Yepez may be a celebrity hairstylist, she can’t deny the importance of skin care.

“Even though I’m a hairdresser, I’d say it’s really important to prioritize your skin,” Yepez tells me. Enchantment. “With hair, you can get it cut, do restorative treatments, or add extensions, but it can be harder to cover up bad skin.” And Yepez also does what she preaches. “I practically live with my facialist,” she admits. “I go to Joanna Vargas, Fabricio Ormonde and Ivan Pol, and when I’m in town, to Mimi Luzon and Fatma Shaheen, and use a face mask almost every day.”

Moreover, Yepez states that hair care and skin care have more in common than one might think. “Both focus on hydration and contain vitamin-rich ingredients,” Yepez says of skin and hair care. “There are even some hair care products that contain skin care – one of the most important things on my mind is scalp care, for example. I like to recommend a scalp exfoliant as part of my client’s hair care ritual, just as you would your skin. ”

And you don’t have to spend money to get your hands on great hair or skin care. “Some of my favorite hair products come from the drugstore,” says Yepez. “I love Got2b Volumizing Mousse and the Sol de Janeiro hair mask – I have so many highs and lows, just like clothes.”

Obviously, hair care and skin care go hand in hand, so it’s no surprise that the hair guru is such a skin care enthusiast herself. Ahead, Jennifer Yepez shares her favorite skin care products GlamorDrop the routine.

My cleaner

I love Sisley Radiance Foaming Cream. It’s great because it’s super soft, removes all my eye makeup and always leaves my skin soft and hydrated. You don’t need to use eye makeup remover or anything and it is so moisturizing.

My body wash

I use Sol de Janeiro Brazilian 4 Play Moisturizing Shower Cream-Gel. It has a blend of Cupuaçu butter, coconut oil and açaí oil to deeply hydrate and nourish which is what I need as I have dry skin, and of course has their iconic Cheirosa ’62 fragrance.

My Serum

I use so many serums but a must for me is 111Skin Y Theorem Repair Serum NAC Y2. It helps plump skin, reduce wrinkles and restore stressed skin (which mine definitely is with flights and being in the sun!). Also 111Skin Hyaluronic Acid Aqua Booster. It moisturizes the skin and makes my skin so hydrated without making it greasy. It’s amazing because it’s so hard to find products that can’t set your makeup apart.

Joanna Vargas Rescue Serum is another one of my favorites. It helps with uneven skin tone, texture, brightening and boosts radiance. I use this during my nightly routine.

My moisturizers

I like Mimi Luzon Legendary Glow Rosie Cream. This cream makes my skin feel so soft but also works as a primer for smooth and glowing skin. It actually hydrates and mattifies the skin.
