Jamie Lee Curtis breaks her silence over the photo of the naked child in her home, claiming she deleted her Instagram post because it “disturbed some people”

Hollywood veteran Jamie Lee Curtis came under fire this week for a photo she posted on her Instagram page. Showing off a room in her house, she wrote in the caption how she has Covid, where she got the chairs and how she was a “truth teller.” However, she deleted the post that same day, as people couldn’t stop commenting on the artwork hanging on her wall, which features a naked girl lying in a bathtub. The photo sparked a viral conversation online about how many celebrities in Hollywood have ties to Jeffrey Epstein and participate in child sexual abuse. It attracted so much attention that she ended up not only deleting the post, but also disabling the comment section on her other Instagram posts.

It was soon discovered that the photo came from a photographer named Betsy Schneider, who is known for photographing naked children in her work. Betsy’s work has been featured many times alongside Desiree Edkins, another photographer who features her own daughter Ella in a number of eerie photos that raise questions about why this type of content would even be considered “art.” Jamie finally broke her silence about the photo on her Instagram with a written message.

On Thursday, Jamie posted a message on her Instagram. She wanted everyone to know where the photo came from and why she removed it from her profile. “Last week I posted a picture of some chairs with a picture on the wall of an artist I received as a gift 20 years ago,” she wrote. “I understand it has disturbed some people.” Indeed, it has alarmed many, leaving countless people wondering why anyone would even want to look at a naked child in their home every day. Every parent thinks their child is cute in the bathtub, but it’s a whole different story when you photograph your naked child and sell it publicly as art.

“Like I said, I’m a truth-teller, so here’s the truth,” she continued. “It’s a picture of a child, taken by her mother, playing in their backyard in a tub of water. Nothing more, nothing less. I removed the post because I didn’t want to post anything that would upset anyone. ”

She left the caption blank and comments on the post are limited. Many people point out that she only deleted the post because of how she looked, not because the photo is scary or disturbing. In fact, she made it pretty clear that she loves the photo and is happy to have it in the house.

Many of the comments are in support of Jamie, claiming that people who have a problem with the photo are the ones who are insane. “I saw the post and only saw the seats. Please don’t give in to these people. If it brings you joy, share it,” one wrote.

“If you see an innocent picture of a child and your mind immediately jumps to sexualization, that’s your problem to unpack, no one else’s,” said another. Apparently there’s no concern at all about a naked child being used as art – the problem is really those of us who think it’s inappropriate.

Others argued that people online are simply “triggered” by the smallest things. “Seriously…? Anyone who is easily triggered should NOT be on the internet. Never,” someone said. If there’s one thing that rightly triggers people, it’s a naked child being exploited as “art.”

There are some comments from people who claim her explanation isn’t good enough, and think it’s downright weird that she would enjoy looking at someone else’s naked daughter for the past 20 years.

LOL that photo was disturbing and not in the Jamie Lee Curtis way, but in the Jeffrey Epstein way. It’s a cool portrayal of childhood, but the one she had hanging on her wall looked blacked out, almost to creepier. I wouldn’t hang random naked kids on my wall, whether I was rich or not, or if it was a gift. I could understand if it was your own kid, but this Jamie Lee is very sus” , someone wrote.
