Drugstore sales of abortion pills cut off pregnancy aid, putting women at increased risk

A critical aspect of allowing pharmacies to have abortion pills that hasn’t been talked about much is the mass elimination in the process of possible life-affirming intervention by pregnancy aid organizations before a woman has a chemical abortion.

For the for-profit abortion industry, bypassing the people willing to help women choose life is a major victory.

The abortion lobby is determined to cut out in-person doctor visits for a woman obtain abortion drugs to get dangerous abortion pills faster in the hands of pregnant mothers before someone can offer her help with her pregnancy. Abortion pills are also more profitable than surgical abortions because they do not involve physical construction and associated costs, or actual hands-on procedures.

Now President Joe Biden has come through for abortions and granted their wish, with the FDA recently announcing that abortion pills can be sold at your neighborhood pharmacy.

This means that these abortions require neither a visit to the doctor nor even a pregnancy test.

Many pregnancy centers across the country are purposefully located near abortion centers. Likewise, the people praying in those abortion facilities are providing truth and real help to young mothers who go in for an abortion by encouraging them to visit the pregnancy centers instead. The compassionate efforts of both result in babies being saved and mothers being spared a lifetime of pain.

Without the need to go to a Planned Parenthood or other abortion center in person, a pregnant mother has no chance to see her baby’s ultrasound, hear about available help, or hear about couples who are ready and excited to conceive. to adopt.

Walgreens and CVS have already announced that “they are in” to deliver these already dangerous abortion drugs to women. They are willing, like Planned Parenthood, to become an abortion supplier, selling abortion pills in addition to shampoo, birthday cards, and cold medicines. Rite Aid later announced that it will be a supplier of chemical abortions.

Neighborhood drug stores offer abortion pills opens the door for all sorts of dangerous scenarios.

What if the woman thinks she is pregnant, but in reality she is not? What if her store-bought pregnancy test gives a false reading, as it sometimes does?

What if the mother misguesses her unborn child’s gestational age? This is quite common, and of course pregnancy tests don’t determine how far along the pregnancy is.

What if she is under 18 and the boyfriend is older? There is no one to step in and report a legal rape situation.

What if she is a victim of sex trafficking? No one can stand between her and her abuser to take her to a safe place and alert the authorities.

What if she knows absolutely nothing about the deaths and serious side effects that have occurred from these drugs? That is not informed consent.

What if someone other than the pregnant mother purchases the drugs to pass them on to her or otherwise force her to take them? How is that women empowerment?

These real-world situations are further proof that the claims made by Planned Parenthood and other abortionists that they care about women and women’s health are nonsense.

Dr. Donna Harrison of the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists (AAPLOG) says delivering abortion pills to women without an in-person exam poses “a dangerous and life-threatening risk” for women “due to the inability to accurately confirm gestational age and rule out possible complications,” such as ectopic pregnancy.

Those who benefit from abortion applaud the fact that a woman who feels she must end her child’s life can now do so without a personal examination by a doctor. But regardless of the circumstances surrounding the pregnancy or the mother’s state of mind, how is it safe for her to get and take chemical abortion drugs without medical supervision?

Conversely, the significance of the life-affirming work of the nearly 3,000 pregnancy centers across the country cannot be overstated as thousands of lives are saved each year through their life-affirming intervention.

These life-saving interactions will be hampered with abortion pills available through a simple run at a corner drugstore.

Tweet this: The abortion lobby wants to rule out the chance of life-affirming pregnancy aid in the chemical abortion process — the FDA allows them.

Without a personal doctor’s visit, without the chance to meet a kind person praying at the abortion center, thousands upon thousands of frightened young women will be denied the truth they deserve to hear, the truth that would most likely lead them to reject abortion. to point. . And that many more babies will be killed and countless lives negatively impacted.

Susan B. Anthony Prolife America emphasized how now information is being denied to pregnant mothers in the rush to sell more abortions:

Multiple peer-reviewed studies confirm that women are at risk for breast cancer serious side effects after taking chemical abortion pills, including bleeding, the need for follow-up surgery, and even death. Studies have shown that chemical abortion has four times the complications of surgical abortion, and these risks only increase with advanced pregnancy and lack of medical supervision. Peer-reviewed research from the Charlotte Lozier Institute has also shown that there is a 53% greater risk of an ER visit for abortion complications after a chemical abortion than after a surgical abortion.

One third (34%) of post-abortion women”reported an adverse change in self, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicidal ideationaccording to support after abortion

These are just some of the short-term studies. We have no idea what the long-term results will be.
